Volkswagen is the world’s largest automaker. In Brazil, the company recently embraced a movement called “New Volkswagen,” investing in innovative technology and creative communication.
This case is yet another example of how our assets are able to push beyond media limits. Over at VZLab, we are used to thinking multilaterally, turning what’d be a simple 360-degree post into an incredible experience for users and hence adding more value to the brand.

HOW WE CAME UP WITH THE POSTS
360-degree posts use the same assets as our printed media products. Images are created based on the mood of the car, taking into account the entire context for the users of each line.
We applied the same materials to absolutely all parts, aiming to be perfectly true to the original vehicle. Lighting in all scenes uses HDRI (High Dynamic Range Image) images with extremely high resolution and wide exposure ranges.
3D is created in a cubface format with the quality and realism we’re used to working with. Following this is some very careful post-production to integrate the cars in the scenes to have it blend in harmoniously.
Then, we begin post-production treatment and make final contrast and color adjustments. Lastly, we convert the image to a spherical format to show it as a 360-degree photo in the post.
3D production is one of the qualities we specialize in due to the hyperrealism we’re able to achieve. That’s why the entire process is precise, divided into different stages, and results in lighting lights, textures, and shaders that are identical to the original.
